APPLE TARTS!


Tarts don't always have to have milk products in them. This is a great lactose free option!
 



RECIPE:

1/4 lb. puff pastry
2 granny smith apples
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup apple jelly

Roll puff pastry into two 8" squares roughly 1/4" to 1/8" thic. Cut a 3/4" strip off each side. Brush the edge of the squares with the water and "paste" the strips along each side of the square. Chill.

Thinly slice apples and place on chilled squares after you poke the bottom of the pastry with a fork. Sprinkle the tarts with sugar and bake at 400F for 15-20 min. Gently melt apply jelly and brush it on top of the squares. Enjoy!
